Philanthropy has always been an integral part of our social responsibility. The founders of Rahn+Bodmer Co. themselves regularly supported institutions in Zurich. With our current social commitments, we are continuing to express this connection with Zurich. The partners of Rahn+Bodmer Co. are also on the Board of Trustees of numerous charitable foundations and support a wide range of charitable projects every year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

USZ Foundation<\/strong>
On the occasion of its 275th anniversary in 2025, Rahn+Bodmer Co. is supporting the USZ Foundation for five years with an annual contribution of CHF 275,000.00, with each year\u2019s contribution benefiting a selected project.
The partnership underscores Rahn+Bodmer Co.\u2019s commitment to social and scientific causes, and it is leading by example in promoting cutting-edge medical research. The University Hospital Zurich (USZ) is a pioneer of cutting-edge medical research and plays a key role in promoting Switzerland as a centre for medicine. The charitable USZ Foundation supports the University Hospital Zurich in this task and ensures that the funds collected are funnelled directly into medical advances that improve people\u2019s quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

University of Zurich<\/strong>
Rahn+Bodmer Co. supports Zurich as a research centre with a multi-year financial contribution to the Neuroscience Center Zurich (ZNZ). The ZNZ is a joint competence centre of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, thus establishing synergies between its approximately 1,000 neuroscientists in research and teaching. Rahn+Bodmer Co. is promoting the modelling of neural diseases using stem cell technology. The aim is to achieve better results in future treatments of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer\u2019s or Parkinson\u2019s. In addition to grants for talented researchers, the commitment also includes a professorship, which will be filled in the coming months. Simon Rahn is also personally involved as a member of the Patronage Committee of the ZNZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right to Play<\/strong>
The international organisation Right To Play shares knowledge with millions of disadvantaged children and young people in 14 countries worldwide in a playful way. In order to achieve a sustainable impact, the foundation works closely with local organisations and ministries on the ground. For this purpose, teachers and coaches are trained in game-based teaching methods. They design learning in a child-friendly and interactive way to create positive learning experiences for children and to provide important life skills. Right To Play \u201cplays\u201d for sustainable changes in the areas of early childhood care and education, primary education, gender equality and psychosocial support. Martin H. Bidermann has been volunteering on the Board of Trustees of Right To Play Switzerland for over 20 years and has been a member of the international board of the organisation since 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStartbahn 29\u201d and \u201ciLab\u201d labs for young researchers at Paul Scherrer Institute<\/strong>
We support two innovative learning locations that inspire young people in the natural sciences and technology with Startbahn 29 and the iLab at the PSI. Startbahn 29 at the Zurich Innovation Park is a creative workshop and an experimenting laboratory where children, young people and young adults can develop and implement their own scientific projects. In the iLab at the PSI, students enter the world of research through interactive experiments. They experience natural science phenomena and gain valuable insights into current research areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kunsthaus Z\u00fcrich<\/strong>
Rahn+Bodmer Co. supported the expansion of Kunsthaus Z\u00fcrich. Designed by the British architect David Chipperfield, the new building was opened in October 2021. With its expansion, Kunsthaus Z\u00fcrich has become the largest art museum in Switzerland. The new building complements the existing collections and offers more space for modern and contemporary art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start Summit St. Gallen<\/strong>
We support the Start Summit in St. Gallen, one of the largest and most prestigious events for young entrepreneurs in Europe. Organised by Start Global, a student entrepreneurship network of the University of St. Gallen, the Start Summit provides a platform for young talent to connect with leaders in business and technology, develop new ideas and advance innovative projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Athletes Network<\/strong>
Rahn+Bodmer Co. is committed to the Athletes Network platform as part of a multi-year partnership. It supports athletes in their transition from a career in sport to a post-sport career. Networking and coaching make it easier for top athletes to gain a foothold in business and develop themselves personally and professionally. Athletes Network encourages awareness that the transition to a post-sport career is a holistic and complex change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children\u2019s University of Zurich<\/strong>
The Children\u2019s University of Zurich helps children who are looking for answers and explanations for the world\u2019s most fascinating phenomena. In pursuit of this goal, the university organises lectures and courses with scientists for primary-school children from the third to sixth grades. Rahn+Bodmer Co. has been involved in this project since it was launched in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
